Réti uses the Stockfish chess engine. This page says which version of it the site sends to your browser, who holds its copyright, and where to find its licence and its source.

The engine

Réti sends a copy of the Stockfish chess engine to your browser, where it analyses chess positions. It is Stockfish compiled to WebAssembly as Stockfish.js — version 18.0.8, the lite single-threaded build, taken unmodified from the stockfish package on npm.

The licence

Stockfish and Stockfish.js are free software under the GNU General Public License, version 3. The full text of that licence ships beside the engine files on this site.
